• Location (optional): Your approximate location, only if you grant permission, used for the "Local Impact" analysis feature

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use sHignal.

How We Use Your Information

• Search queries are sent to GDELT to retrieve relevant news articles
• Queries and retrieved articles are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate synthesis and historical analysis
• Location data, if provided, is used solely to personalize the "Local Impact" section of the analysis

Third-Party Services

sHignal uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• GDELT Project (gdeltproject.org) - Global news data
• Anthropic Claude API (anthropic.com) - AI-powered synthesis

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Data Storage & Retention

• We do not permanently store your search history on our servers
• We do not create user profiles or track you across sessions
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.

Children's Privacy

sHignal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
